An Impactful Awareness Month for ALS United CT

As ALS Awareness Month comes to a close, we are filled with immense gratitude and pride for all that we’ve accomplished…together! Throughout May, ALS United CT, as well as our partner organizations, took bold steps to amplify the voices of those living with ALS and those we’ve lost.

One of the most powerful moments this month was when Jacky Rose, our Executive Director, as well as members from ALS United Greater New York and ALS Network, brought ALS Awareness into the national spotlight by ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Our awareness message also felt throughout Connecticut, with features both in newspapers and TV segments, advocating in countless support groups and conferences, a powerful billboard in the heart of New York City, and during 5K road races in the Nutmeg State.

None of this would have been possible without our dedicated community of supporters, advocates, families, and friends. Each action, post, donation, and conversation this month helped bring us one step closer to ending ALS. But just because ALS Awareness Month is concluding, that doesn’t mean we’re stopping. Please help us raise awareness throughout the remainder of 2024 by donating to ALS United CT. Click here to donate.
