2025 Walk ALS
Walk ALS, ALS United Connecticut’s biggest events and fundraisers of the year, draws people together to honor the courageous souls who are affected by ALS. The walks also pay tribute to the ones we have lost to ALS.
Your participation and dedication to Walk ALS play a vital role in supporting the ALS community. The funds raised through Walk ALS help ongoing patient care, strengthen advocacy efforts for those living with ALS, and drive groundbreaking research.
Why We Walk!
ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressive and devastating neurodegenerative illness that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, gradually robbing people of their ability to move, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. Every 90 minutes, someone is diagnosed with ALS, and every 90 minutes, someone loses their life to it.
When you walk, roll, and stroll, you are doing so much more than taking steps! You are providing essential care and support for people living with ALS and their families, raising awareness and driving policy changes that improve the lives of patients and caregivers, and helping fund critical research that brings us closer to treatments and a cure.

Walk ALS are family-friendly events that will take place during three weekends between the end of September and October. Walk ALS will take place in Hartford, New Haven, and Westport. For more information about any of the three Walk ALS events and to sign up, scroll down to view our three events.
