Letters of Intent for ALS Research Funding Accepted Until April 20th

ALS United Connecticut proudly announces Letters of Intent for ALS research funding will be accepted until April 20, 2026. Researchers interested in applying can learn more and submit their Letter of Intent HERE

“Progress in ALS research depends on collaboration and bold thinking,” said Jerry Dawson, president and CEO of ALS United. “The Letter of Intent process helps identify innovative ideas from researchers across the field, and ALS United members are proud to support the discoveries that may one day change the future of this disease for the people and families we serve.”

ALS United members lead nonprofit support for scientists studying ALS by building partnerships across the ALS research ecosystem to directly fund global research initiatives.

The ALS Research Innovation Initiative, offered in partnership with the ALS Network, provides grants to fund novel, scientifically rigorous ideas that can transform our understanding of ALS. Review and oversight is provided by a Scientific Advisory Committee, informed by input from the Community Research Committee, a group of people with lived ALS experience. Together, they fuel moonshots and power an efficient, collaborative research framework designed to de-risk investment and accelerate the search for effective prevention strategies, treatments, and cures for ALS.
