Our local caregiver, Theresa, was recently featured on the AARP website in “Is Someone You Love Living With ALS?”.
Theresa’s journey as a full-time care partner began when her husband, Robert, was diagnosed with ALS in 2020 after two years of uncertainty. She retired in 2024 to focus entirely on his care, managing his daily needs with strength, compassion, and essential equipment like a power wheelchair and stair lift. Despite the challenges, Theresa prioritizes self-care and encourages others to do the same.
