Please extend this to the ALS United Connecticut supporters and staff. I can’t express my gratitude enough for my folding power wheelchair.
This wheelchair has given me back enough independence to accept invitations, previously declined, because I didn’t want to burden family and friends having to push me around in my manual wheelchair. I have been out to my grandkids’ sports games as well as out shopping and going out for lunch rather than meeting at my house.
Getting out and just being a person rather than a patient is life-changing.
