Read Jamie’s Story & Make a Difference on GivingTuesday

Today is GivingTuesday, a powerful reminder of the impact of generosity in action. Your gift to ALS United Connecticut brings hope and critical support to all our families battling ALS, while fueling groundbreaking research that will find a cure. ALS steals our loved ones far too soon, like Jamie’s father, who lost his fight in February 2019, and also lost the ability to meet his grandson. Together, we can honor their legacies and create a brighter future. Together, we fight! United in hope!

“My dad would have loved and made the most of every second he got to spend with Ryan. He would have taught him how to play baseball and golf, helped with his homework (especially math), and loved Ryan with every little bit of his heart. I see my dad in my son every day. He has the same twinkle of mischief in his eye and the same smirk I can still picture clear as day. I would give anything to give Ryan the opportunity to grow up with my dad in his life.

But since that’s not a possibility, I will instead do whatever I can to help ALS United support other families fighting ALS, and work towards finding a cure for this disease. Ryan will grow up understanding the importance of giving back to an organization that provided so much support and generosity to my family, and so many others, when we needed them.”

Thank you, Jamie, for sharing your story.

Please consider making a year end donation on this GivingTuesday and help us end ALS for Jamie, for Ryan, and for all those affected by ALS.
